Alert: Call Your Senator Today!
American Majority is putting out an action alert and asking all our members and friends to call their Senators. The United States Senate switchboard is (202) 224-3121.
We are asking all Senators to vote "No" on the Menendez/Burr Amendment (Amendment #1782, also known as the Pickens' Plan and the NAT GAS Act) that has been inserted into the Senate Highway Bill. The vote is today. Americans are tired of crony capitalism, and it is not Washington, D.C.'s place to pick winners and losers in the market. Amendment #1782 does just that by creating taxpayer subsidies for the production and use of natural gas.
