What’s really at Stake for Unions in America? By: Paul Krausett
What’s really at Stake for Unions in America? By: Paul Krausett
Is it the welfare of Joe and his family on Elm Street? Is it Gladys and her role in teaching our children? Is it Sam and Rebecca, neighbors who are employed as civil servants?
No – it’s all about money, and a whole lot of it that winds up in the hands and ultimate control of a very few!
Mandatory union contributions inherent with employment can run as much as $1000 to $2000 a year for thousands of households nationwide. When this money leaves the union member’s hands, a great deal of it winds up in the control of a small number of state and national union leaders with little or no consent or oversight by members at large.
How much money? Follow some hypothetical arithmetic for an imaginary national union:
Local Dues $75 Month $75 Month $75 Month

Giffords' father blames Tea Party - NYPOST.com
Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was clinging to life after a gunman shot her in the head in front of an Arizona grocery store where she was holding a public event, authorities said.
The three-term Democrat, who might have been shot at point blank range, was airlifted to University Medical Center in Tuscon where she was undergoing surgery, Reuters reported.
Nine others, including a child, also seriously injured in the bloody shooting spree were also being treated there, according to reports.
The congresswoman’s father Spencer Gifford, 75, was rushing to the hospital when asked if his 40-year-old daughter had any enemies.
"Yeah," he told The Post. "The whole tea party."
He added that politicians constantly faced danger.
"They always get threat[ened]," Gifford cried. "We don’t really have any information. The Police department was supposed to call us but they didn’t."

Thoughts on SB510
Congress to the American people; "from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee." as the expiring Democrat oligarchy make one last deadly stab at the U.S. economy with it's one good arm. Or by making one more big power grab it is like an ogre sweeping all the food into its mouth before having to leave the buffet. However you look at it, we are in for a long winter lasting at least till 2012 in fact. This will inevitably help send grocery prices through the rough at the same time the dollar will be dropping through the floor leaving us all out in the cold and hungry. If you think this will at least help Republicans clean house in 2012, don't count on it. While we will be standing in food lines the Democrats will be doing what they do best, making the new Republican House into the scapegoat.
